Highlights
Seamless CRM Integration with IDSS
We built a custom bridge between WordPress and IDSS, a CRM platform. This integration syncs listings, images, events, and business details daily—allowing local businesses to update their information in IDSS and see those changes automatically reflected on the site. This integration eliminated manual updates and made the site truly dynamic.
Custom Filtering Interface for Tourism Content
To help users explore everything Skagit Valley has to offer, we developed a lightweight, JavaScript-based filtering system. It allows people to browse activities, restaurants, and more by categories like gluten-free options or location, all without page reloads. The filters are tightly integrated with the synced IDSS data and deliver a super fast, seamless experience that would be difficult to achieve with any off-the-shelf plugin.
Custom Events Calendar with Advanced Filtering
The events section is also synced from IDSS and includes advanced filtering by date range, community, and event type. Users can find exactly what’s happening during their visit, whether they’re in town for a weekend or a whole month. This required building a custom UI and back-end logic to support flexible queries and performance at scale.
Interactive Map with Custom Pins and Filters
We built a fully custom interactive map that shows listings as pins based on category. Visitors can filter the map to show only what they’re interested in—like things to do, places to stay, or events—and each pin opens a pop-up with details.
Unique Navigation and UI Features
We integrated the new design and engineered a completely custom navigation structure, including a top-level menu and a secondary hamburger menu. We also created components like synchronized carousels and category-driven menus that interpret the design’s intent and turn it into functional, maintainable code.

A while back, one of our developers said something that stuck with us: “Most tourism sites are built like scrapbooks. Pretty to look at, but someone still has to cut and paste everything.” She wasn’t wrong. After 25 years of working with tourism bureaus, chambers,...
