Highlights
Shopify 1.0 to 2.0 Migration
Artstar needed access to Shopify 2.0 features, such as advanced product filtering and flexible display options, which were unavailable in Shopify 1.0. To address this, we migrated their store while keeping the subpages intact and customizing the homepage and product pages. Working closely with their designer, we ensured all the technical functionalities aligned with their design vision, resulting in a seamless upgrade that met their needs.
Visual Drop Down Menu
Recognizing the potential of enhancing user engagement by merging intuitive navigation with captivating visuals, we incorporated the integration of a pop-down menu featuring the product images alongside the title page names. This design choice gave a vivid visual representation creating a more immersive experience, capturing users’ attention and fostering a deeper connection with the content.
Custom Frame Development
Artstar’s biggest requirement was to showcase their products with framing options, a custom feature we carried over from their Shopify 1.0 theme and enhanced for Shopify 2.0. We also updated their “Learn More About Frames” functionality, building custom code that empowers them to manage it independently, without needing ongoing technical support from us. This gives them full control over their framing display, ensuring flexibility and ease of use as their store evolves.
Close Collaboration
Throughout the project, we worked in close collaboration with Artstar’s designer to bring their vision to life. By providing the technical functionality needed to match the designs, we ensured that every feature was implemented exactly as envisioned. This close partnership allowed us to seamlessly integrate design elements with technical capabilities, resulting in a cohesive and visually appealing online store that met both aesthetic and functional goals.
