BID PROPOSAL
Project Summary

Summary - Design & development of a new catalog system for a mix of off-the-shelf products & supplies and larger equipment (industrial) that would use quote/contact forms for inquiries.

Our estimate includes:

  • Design & customization services to ensure a professional look using a responsive design framework that displays well across all possible devices.
  • Integration of core content and pages for client to copy or manipulate.
  • Integration of Standard UPS/Fed Ex Ground shipping for selling accessories. Larger freight items would have a quote form and not be conducted by ecommerce.
  • SEO / SEM Optimization, Analytics and XML Sitemap.
  • Product attachments, Specifications and other media can be attached to products.
  • Easy to manipulate homepage rotator and news/announcement sections.
  • Security and administration controls, audit/logging and account management (password reset, sign-ups for users) - built in.
  • Total mobile responsive framework testing – we will ensure a consistent experience across tablets/mobile and browser devices.
  • All customer touch points for communication, contact/form submission pages and other contact points.
  • Product specifications to be attached to each product via special fields/uploaded documents.
  • Wholesale price discounts based on group. Includes a wholesale inquiry form and workflow for setting up wholesale users.
  • Assist with additional tasks as requested on an hourly basis after site is designed, set-up and ready for content to be copied/imported by client.
  • Integration with existing applications or social media as needed (e.g. constant contact, Facebook, etc).
Estimate

Bid/Budget of: $4,900 - $5,500

Assumptions:

  • Current bid assumes initial website development with a standard plugins for shipping quotes. Any custom shipping configurations may need additional programming cost. (e.g. Having to intelligently arrange various products on a pallet configuration based on cubic volume or short stacking/over stacking pallets)
  • Terms: 50% deposit to start. Progress billing on Net 30.
  • Client should allow for up to 10% extra in final budget for things you may need additional help with or were unknown at the beginning of the project. This is not required, but a realistic expectation as you work through your project. Anything that ever falls into this allowance will always be pre-approved.

Timeline – Sites like this average around 60 days of design & development time - with content changes often being the portion of the project that can take the most time if you are writing/editing new content. We can use existing content and but a better "polish" on it to help speed the project up.

* - any third-party stock photos may require a one-time license fee, typically $5 - $10 per photo credit – client may choose photos or provide existing images as needed.
